I’m sure by now you’ve seen the teaser for the teaser of Catching Fire! On April 14, we’ll finally get to see some real footage from The Hunger Games sequel when two and a half minutes of film will be shown at the MTV Movie Awards.
In the meantime, here’s three of the main screen shots of the snippet of footage we’ve been able to see so far.
From the three brief scenes in the teaser for the teaser, it looks like it’s Katniss and Peeta making their victory tour stop in District 11 – a significant moment in the book; a point where Katniss begins to see that a rebellion is brewing under the surface.
We can’t wait for April 14 to see that little bit more!
No fooling this time – MTV has just announced that they will be premiering the exclusive first look at the Catching Fire teaser trailer during the MTV Movie Awards, airing April 14, 9:00 pm Eastern / 8:00 Central.
And apparently it’s not just any old trailer, but two and a half minutes of “not-to-miss” footage from The Hunger Games sequel.

“The motion picture event of the year is poised to become the home entertainment event of the year,” Lionsgate’s VP of Home Entertainment Ron Schwartz told EW. “With a midnight launch and midnight retail events scheduled at stores around the country, we expect to replicate the same level of consumer excitement generated by the film’s theatrical debut.”
EW has revealed that The Hunger Games release will be a two-disc set and will include three hours of bonus material.
Apparently we’ll get to see an eight-part documentary about the making of the movie, interviews with the cast and crew. There will also be a feature on changes that were made from the book and The Capitol propaganda film that was shown at the Reaping in District 12 will also be in there.
