Liam Hemwsworth is on the cover of the May issue of Prestige, Hong Kong’s lifestyle magazine. This morning they shared their interview with the actor about how his life has changed since The Hunger Games, what made him decide to become an actor, filming The Expendables 2, Australian actors’ long association with Hollywood, what he has coming up next in his career and more. (note: that is not Liam’s Twitter name – he doesn’t have one)
Here’s an excerpt from the interview.
How have you been dealing with all the attention your life and everything that surrounds it has been bringing you?
I haven’t really changed that much. I still do the things that I’ve always done. It’s just that I’m at a different level now in terms of my career. I’m able to meet extremely talented filmmakers and writers and directors – everyone in the business. I’m just in a different position than I’ve ever been in. But, you know, my personal life hasn’t changed. I still go surfing and hang out with friends. I just feel very lucky to be where I am and to be able to make movies.
There has been an enormous buzz around the world following The Hunger Games. What’s it like being caught up in it all?
Pretty much the whole of March I’ve been travelling, doing press everywhere. It’s been awesome. I’ve never promoted something as big as this. So it’s been pretty cool. As an actor I always look for things I relate to in one way or another, or things that are different. And this is definitely all that and has a huge fan base behind it already. I’ve never been a part of something like that before so it has been interesting. Continue reading
‘The Hunger Games‘ hunk Liam Hemsworth is looking handsome on the May 2012 cover of Hong Kong’s ’Prestige‘ magazine. I’m loving the bow tie Liam!
We’ve already shown you Jennifer Lawrence‘s cover and photo shoot from her American cover on Rolling Stone Magazine this past April. Well this May Jen graces the covers of Rolling Stone Spain, and while the photos inside the magazine are the same as those published in April, the cover is brand new! Looking good!
The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence really is the Girl on Fire. Our Katniss Everdeen graces another magazine cover this month, and this time it’s on Rolling Stone’s April issue.
Here is one of our favorite parts of the interview, about Jennifer’s ability to make a great impression on co-stars Woody Harrelson and Josh Hutcherson!
Lawrence, 21, has a way of making a first impression. Woody Harrelson, her Hunger Games co-star, still remembers their first meeting. “I was on my bus,” he says, “and on my bus I have a yoga swing. Jennifer comes on, and she goes, ‘Hi, Woody, I’m J— is that a sex swing?’ Her first sentence to me.”
Josh Hutcherson, also from The Hunger Games: “When I got cast, she called me up for one of those five-minute ‘Excited to work with you, blah, blah, blah’ things. The conversation started with her saying, ‘Think about a catheter going in – ouch!’ and then turns into a 45-minute rant about zombies and the apocalypse.”
And below is a video of Jennifer’s photo shoot with Rolling Stone.
The April issue of Teen Vogue features Josh Hutcherson in their prom dress ideas spread. Josh is looking quite dapper in the photos and he talks to the magazine about Peeta and Catching Fire.
When the outgoing nineteen-year-old landed the highly coveted role of Peeta in The Hunger Games, he found himself speechless. Literally. “I think I made some weird noises,” Josh confesses. “It wasn’t until we actually shot the first scene that I went, ‘Oh! I’m Peeta!’” …
But he says he’s never connected to a character the way he does to the baker-turned-reluctant-warrior who becomes Katniss’s lifeline during the brutal televised battle. “Peeta has this belief that no matter what circumstances you’re in, you have to stay true to yourself,” says Josh. “Having been a young actor, it’s easy to be influenced. I connect with him on that level.” Now, Josh is ready to return to North Carolina in the fall to get back to the Games. “I can’t wait to see the way the rebellion starts to build,” he says of book two, Catching Fire. “It reminds me of Star Wars, the fight against the Empire. Creatively, I’m looking forward to Mockingjay, when Peeta goes darker. But as a fan, I’m most excited about the second book.”
Josh recently sat down for an interview with Teen Vogue, along with a photoshoot. Since prom is right around the corner for most high school seniors, why not have a prom style photoshoot?
In the interview Josh talks about never going to a real prom and of course, Peeta and the Hunger Games. Check it out!
