The highly anticipated 2012 MTV Movie Awards just finished airing and, as it sure had to be, The Hunger Games was a big winner: the cast took home four awards! Jennifer Lawrence as Best Female Performance, Josh Hutcherson as Best Male Performance, Elizabeth Banks as Best On-Screen Transformation and, of course, Jennifer Lawrence & Josh Hutcherson vs. Alexander Ludwig for the Best Fight.
Josh, Elizabeth and Alexander were there to walk down the red carpet and, later, receive the awards.
MTV is teasing us with the above photo of Jennifer Lawrence from a short film she is featured in that is about archery. The film will be shown at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards tomorrow night.
The photo clearly shows Lawrence with an arrow through her head, and given her unimpressed, annoyed expression when the pic was snapped, she doesn’t look too pleased about the situation. But not to worry: The arrow through her head is all for the sake of Movie Awards comedy, for which Lawrence was totally game.
MTV News recently caught up with Movie Awards short film producer Jordan Rubin to get the behind-the-scenes scoop about how Lawrence came to be involved. Continue reading →

We’ve already shown you Jennifer Lawrence‘s cover and photo shoot from her American cover on Rolling Stone Magazine this past April. Well this May Jen graces the covers of Rolling Stone Spain, and while the photos inside the magazine are the same as those published in April, the cover is brand new! Looking good!
Jennifer Lawrence was in Spain today promoting The Hunger Games, which hits theaters there tomorrow. She stopped by the TV show “Hormiguero” – five videos from the show are below.
Unfortunately the interview is conducted in Spanish and there aren’t any English subtitles, plus the woman translating Jennifer’s answers tends to drown her out. Regardless, the interview is cute – Jennifer plays with her action figure, plays some sort of game where she says if she eats/doesn’t eat something (while making hilarious faces at the pictures of the food), and participates in an archery contest.
The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence really is the Girl on Fire. Our Katniss Everdeen graces another magazine cover this month, and this time it’s on Rolling Stone’s April issue.
Here is one of our favorite parts of the interview, about Jennifer’s ability to make a great impression on co-stars Woody Harrelson and Josh Hutcherson!
Lawrence, 21, has a way of making a first impression. Woody Harrelson, her Hunger Games co-star, still remembers their first meeting. “I was on my bus,” he says, “and on my bus I have a yoga swing. Jennifer comes on, and she goes, ‘Hi, Woody, I’m J— is that a sex swing?’ Her first sentence to me.”
Josh Hutcherson, also from The Hunger Games: “When I got cast, she called me up for one of those five-minute ‘Excited to work with you, blah, blah, blah’ things. The conversation started with her saying, ‘Think about a catheter going in – ouch!’ and then turns into a 45-minute rant about zombies and the apocalypse.”
And below is a video of Jennifer’s photo shoot with Rolling Stone.
